Transform26 GCSE art exhibition
Posted 22nd June 2026
This year, we were proud to celebrate our talented Year 11 artists with our annual end-of-year Art & Design Exhibition, TRANSFORM26.
The exhibition opened with a special private viewing held in our Heart Space, where students, families and staff came together to admire a stunning showcase of work created over the past two years. The exhibition highlighted the creativity, dedication and artistic growth of our students, with a wide range of impressive pieces demonstrating both technical skill and personal expression.
During the evening, Mr Duggan presented three special awards in recognition of outstanding achievement:
- Mastery Award – Samuel for his exceptional portraiture and intricate cut-work pieces.
- Hard Work Award – Jayden for his commitment to developing his skills in origami and conceptual art.
- Autonomy Award – Kevin for his innovative and thought-provoking studies based on the theme Interior for his chosen examination project.
The event was made even more special by performances from our talented year 7, 8 and 9 musicians, supported by Ms Unsworth, who entertained guests throughout the evening. Visitors also enjoyed a selection of delicious sweet treats kindly provided by Ms Redmond and Ms Kewley.
TRANSFORM26 was a fantastic celebration of creativity, perseverance and achievement, and a fitting opportunity to recognise the hard work of our year 11 artists as they prepare for their next steps beyond Dixons Croxteth Academy.
We would like to congratulate all of our exhibiting students and wish them every success for the future.
The exhibition will remain on display until the end of the academic year, and visitors are warmly invited to call in and take a look around.
