STEM Club Launches with Asteroid Survival Theme

Posted 19th June 2024

Our Science Department is happy to announce the launch of the STEM Club, an exciting extracurricular science club that meets after school every Monday. Each half term, the club will dive into a different scientific theme, providing students with hands-on learning experiences and unique challenges.

This term's captivating theme is "Can You Survive an Asteroid Attack?" Students will explore the science behind surviving a catastrophic asteroid impact. From learning how to grow crops in a nuclear winter to discovering ways to protect themselves from burning acid rain, students will tackle a range of real-world problems and innovative solutions.

The programme started last Monday, and we've already seen a great deal of enthusiasm from our young scientists. Stay tuned for more updates as our students explore the intriguing world of asteroid survival!
