Citizens UK - delegate assembly
Posted 7th May 2026
We would like to take a moment to celebrate a truly inspiring achievement by a group of our Citizens UK students, who attended the recent delegate assembly on Tuesday 5 May 2026 to speak on issues affecting our community.
Representing the school with exceptional maturity, courage, and passion, several of students delivered a powerful and thought-provoking speech focusing on students’ experiences of racism on public transport. A year 9 student also shared a personal experience with remarkable honesty and bravery, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
Cruz (Year 10) continued his ongoing advocacy work around improving temporary accommodation across Liverpool, contributing thoughtful ideas and speaking with purpose and conviction.
All of the students demonstrated outstanding confidence as they addressed an audience of over 120 people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Their willingness to stand up, speak out, and use their voices to push for positive change was truly commendable.
We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the example they have set as young leaders working to make a difference in our community.
